AGH Infection Control Services
AGH Infection Control Services was formed to provide services to the Dental and Social care sectors enabling our customers to meet the statutory requirements of both the Department of Health and the Care Quality Commission relating to Infection Prevention and Control standards.
AGH Infection Control Services provides comprehensive and pro-active solutions to Infection Control incorporating consultation, audits, training programmes, staff support, temporary staff cover, development and publication of policies and procedures specific to a variety of environments and other infection control services. Almost all of these services can be purchased online for speed of receipt.
AGH Infection Control Services is managed by Mr Andrew Garner, Director and Lead Infection Control Specialist. Andrew is a qualified nurse with over 20 years experience in the health service (within surgical, theatres and critical care areas) and has been working in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) since 2005.
Andrew has a Masters degree in Advanced Practice (Infection: Diseases, Prevention and Control) and has worked as a specialist Infection Control Nurse at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and currently joint Lead IPC nurse at Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Andrew also works as a Nurse Consultant with United Kingdom Orthopaedic Microbiology Service (UKOMS) within private hospital across the UK.
Andrew has a wealth of experience writing and undertaking environmental auditing of healthcare premises. He has written many bespoke audit tools for specific healthcare care environments whether dental practice, NHS or private hospitals or Care home (nursing or residential).
In addition to this, Andrew has written and presented many Infection Control training programmes over the past 16 years and continues to improve and update these according to clients requirements.
